The Story of the Coin

I had decided to design a golf ball marker for the church, using their logo, as a fundraiser. I thought a Christian ball marker would also connect the golfer with God. I was not making much progress on either item, until one night I had a dream. Dreams for me are fairly common, and usually related to work. This one was different. For the first time in my life, I knelt beside the bed, at 2 a.m., and asked God to tell me what it meant. The dream was not about the coin, but a tool to get me on my knees and to ask for his help. I drew up a sketch and went back to bed. In the morning, I saw that I had drawn a ball marker with the cross, and the words "I Am God’s Plan." What does it mean? Everyone I have talked to about it comes up with a different idea on what it means.

Then I tried to humanize the coin. It was supposed to be a golf ball marker and it needed more sayings on the coin, such as “Narrow is the way” to help make the putt straighter, or “You never play alone” knowing God is with you. Every time I tried to change the design, production kept being delayed for one reason or another. Weeks turned into months and still no progress! Finally I went back to the original design, as you see it, and the product was in production the next week. It has taken 18 months to get the product ready for you. It seems to me like satan had a role in all this delay.

The lesson I learned from this project is to not humanize directions from God. He does not need my opinion to carry out His work.

I feel that this is one of His projects—His design. I do not receive any compensation for this project. All the net profit goes to helping His children. I am not affiliated with any children’s home or charity, but for the year 2007, all the profits (100%) from sales from this site go to the Sunny Glen Children’s Home in San Benito, Texas. I feel I am just the middleman in this project, just trying to serve the Lord Jesus.

My Testimony of How God has Worked in My Life

I Am God’s Plan. What does it mean? To me it says that God is depending on me to tell people about Him, His Power, and His Grace.

The first 40 years of my life, I told God to take care of the world. I would take care of my family and myself. Nice thoughts, but it does not work! Ten years ago, I hit my knees in prayer and asked God to take care of me. No matter how many corporate ladders I climbed, no matter how many possessions I acquired, my life was a failure. I asked Him to take charge and to control my life. I truly gave my life over to Him. Forty years in the wilderness of life, being seasoned very well, and sinning with the “me generation,” finally came to an end.

I want to share with you the Peace, the Tranquility, the Power, and the Enjoyment that I have discovered by letting God work in my life. I wish I had discovered it years ago. If someone was telling me, I did not listen. Hopefully, you are wiser than I am, and this will open your eyes and your ears, so that you may see and hear.

Praying for your enemies

In negotiating business deals, each side wants to get all that they can for their company. I have found that asking God to make my enemies treat me fairly, a deal that is fair for both sides, produces results beyond my imagination. I asked Him to make them my footstools until they present a fair deal, allow me to testify to them, and then to give Him the Glory and Honor for the outcome. No matter the starting positions of the two sides, deals came out fair to both sides, and sometimes, they left money on the table. There is a Power in asking God for help that I cannot explain, but I have certainly seen the results. I feel the power is so great, that now, I sometimes think about it twice before I ask for His intervention in things. When it happens for you, it will blow your mind.

The Peace of Jesus

Stress from the job or family crisis is present in this world. His Power can solve it, and the power is there simply for the asking! To develop a relationship with anyone, you have to communicate. Talking with God, asking to do His work first, and then yours, on a daily basis, sometimes an hourly basis, is the only way I have found to build a relationship with Him. When I ask Him for the Peace of Jesus, I feel an actual calm come over me. It is such a relaxing feeling that it is hard to describe. He reached down from Heaven and placed His hand on me! Out of all the people in the world, He chose me to be one of His sons. He knows everything I have done, every thought I have had, every word I have said, and He still loves me enough to welcome me into His world. This is why my heart delights in Him. The power of this peace will separate you from the rest of the world, and you will not believe the difference in your life. Can life in this modern world be as simple as walking and talking with God, letting Him provide and care for you, the way He did for Adam and Eve? Yes it can!

Financial Security

I always heard about tithing when it was budget time at the church, and I never did it. After 40 years of trying to make ends meet, the light bulb finally went off inside of me. Tithing is not about the church and you, or the preacher and you. It is about God and you! Tithing is about showing God that you believe His words—that He will provide for you. It is about showing God your faith by giving Him 10% of what you earn. If you are like me, you came into this world with nothing, and when you leave this world, you will take nothing with you, except Jesus in your heart. All your resources, talents, and time are gifts from Him to you. A tithe is simply showing God that you believe in Him, that you trust Him, and that you freely give back to Him. Once you do that, He opens the doors of the Blessings, and you will not believe what He gives you. Everything you need for your own good will be given to you. In a court of law, the best testimony is first person testimony. I can give you 3 first person testimonies from people who started tithing, and then were simply amazed at what God gave them.

Increase Your Faith

Ask God to increase your faith. It took me years to figure out what this means. It is not to make the Rockies crumble, but just to let me get over the mountains in my life. From taking a chemistry test to a work reorganization crisis, I believe that if you get on your knees and ask God for His help, He will deliver amazing results for you. He will open doors that you never knew were there, and you can boldly go through those doors with Jesus at your right hand. Just remember to give Him the honor and Glory.

As I have said, it has taken me 40 years in the wilderness to learn these things. Now I want to shout it from the rooftops. Will God do this for you? If He did it for someone like me, He will certainly do it for you!! I hope, in some way, these words or thoughts will reach out and let you find the pure happiness that is waiting for you from God, through His son, Jesus Christ.

Can I comprehend Heaven?

Size of Heaven:

A fellow soldier is hit by a bullet, and then those around him duck for cover. Why? The bullet traveled at around 2,200 miles per hour, while the speed of sound is about 782 miles per hour. The soldier was hit before they heard the sound of the shot.

The planet earth travels 92.2 million miles in one year, which means that it hurtles through space at 10,500 miles per hour. Since 900 years before Abraham was born - to now, 2005 A.D., (some 5,000 years), the Earth has been going through space at 10,500 MPH and has only traveled 1/10th of one light year.

The Milky Way (where the Earth hangs out) is 100,000 light years wide. It is one of the medium sized galaxies and there are some 50 million galaxies known to modern man.

And this, as far as we know, is only the first Heaven. Paul went up into the third Heaven.

Paul says that we are with Jesus instantly in Heaven when we die the earthly death. We all saw what happens to earthly materials when the space shuttle burned up trying to re-enter the atmosphere. All earthly matter would disappear when traveling millions of light years per second going from Earth to Heaven. This may be why our earthly bodies remain behind when we die.

The first Heaven must be 10 million light years across its width, so, if you think you can find Heaven without Jesus, I wish you luck.

The New Jerusalem:

Jerusalem in the time of Christ was approximately 1.1 miles by .8 miles square or .88 square miles. The New Jerusalem will be 1,400 miles by 1,400 miles square or 1,960,000 square miles. This is nearly 2 million times larger than the Jerusalem that Paul, Peter and John knew.

This city would stretch from San Antonio to Miami on one side, and from San Antonio to Fargo, ND on the other side. This area is approximately 1,400 miles by 1,400 miles square.

The earthly Jerusalem had a protective wall around it, therefore, making it a cube. The New Jerusalem is also described as a cube. The wall is 1,400 miles long, 1,400 miles high, and 270+ feet thick. It is made of diamonds. No man has ever seen a diamond that big and it begs to determine how many karats are in something that big.

Another way to view Heaven - A sugar ant is in a 100,000 square foot building in Sugar Land’s sugar factory. As far as he can see is sugar!! He could live there for an eternity and not eat all the sugar. How do you think he would feel if he knew that the building was only one building among 100 buildings of sugar? If he knew that the complex was only a small part of Houston, and that Houston was only a small part of Texas. If he knew that Texas was only a small part of the planet Earth, and that the planet was only one dot in a 100,000 light year wide galaxy!! Do you think he would feel small? How small do you feel?

Accepting Jesus Christ - Some people never acknowledge Jesus by baptism. They live a good life or a not so good life. And then they get close to death, and they acknowledge Jesus. Are they not glad about the parable of the owner that paid the same wage to the person that worked all day as He did to the person that worked only an hour. God knows your heart and knows if you truly repent of your sins. He says “ what is it to you if I am generous”. He will determine your fate, not your fellow man.

Some people accept and acknowledge Jesus as the Christ and as their Lord, Master, and brother. Then as life moves along, they fall away from Jesus and do it their way. They even fall in with Satan. Then they repent and beg to come back to Jesus and God. Are they not glad about the parable about the prodigal son who Jesus took back into the Kingdom. God knows your heart and knows if you truly repent of your sins. He will determine your fate, not your fellow man.

Baptism is showing your death to the worldly life and the resurrection into a new life with Jesus. It is also the public acknowledgement of announcing Jesus as your Lord and Master before men. By doing this, then Jesus will acknowledge you before His Father in Heaven on that day. If you are ashamed to announce Him before men, then He may be ashamed to announce you before His Father.

If you have committed sin, which we all have, then it is time to let Jesus bear the sin, and time for you to get over it. If you have been divorced, stolen, had a child out of wedlock, or any of the sins that mankind thinks is terrible, you should know that Jesus is wearing that sin for you. As Beth Moore says, you should not wear the same clothes. From this day forward, be the best Christian man or woman that you can be. In Luke 7, Jesus tells us that the lady’s sins, which were many, have been forgiven, so she has shown much love for Jesus. When Jesus forgives my sins, it is a debt that I cannot repay, no matter how hard I try. He does it out of love and grace, and I turn from my sins and try to forgive others the way He forgave me – fully and completely, remembering the sins no more. My love for Jesus grows everyday, as I turn from my sins and grow into Christian maturity. His blessings, protection, gifts, and love are things that cannot be imagined by common mankind. You have to experience them to fully start to comprehend them.

The Exodus to the Red Sea:

What is your average walking speed? 3 mph; 5 mph?

How long can you maintain that speed? 1 hour; 3 hours; 10 hours?

If you were walking with your grandmother, what speed could you go?

If you were carrying your suitcase, what speed could you go? if you were going with your grandmother and carrying all your belongings? What would the speed be for 10 hours a day?

Based on an average speed of 1 mph and walking 10 hours a day, for 5 days, and going 50 miles to the Red Sea, here is my calculation of the Exodus.

50 miles at 10 miles a day = 5 days.

144 people across in a line, with belongings, allowing one person every 4 feet = 576 feet across or almost 2 football fields across! (144 x 4 = 576 feet)

Allowing 4 feet between lines, for carts and elbow space, the lines would be 55,555 feet long, or about 10.5 miles in depth. (2,000,000 / 144 x 4 feet = 55,555 feet)

It would take about 10.5 hours for the entire mass to pass one point on land.

If the Red Sea crossing were 1 mile wide, it would have taken about 11.5 hours for the group to cross the sea. Ten and one half hours for the last person to get to the Sea, and then about one hour to walk the mile across the sea.

The Pharaoh gave them a three-day head start, and then pursued them by chariot. Assuming a horse drawn chariot could go 25 miles in a day, the Egyptians would have caught them in two days.

Manna and Quail:

The Lord provided manna each day for six days a week , with a double portion on the sixth day to last on the seventh day. He did this for 40 years. When the Israelites camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, they ate roasted grain harvested from the land, and crops from Canaan.

The Lord also provided quail each day for the 40 years. Assuming 3 quail per person on average, 2,000,000 people would eat 6,000,000 quail a day. Forty years would be some 87,600,000,000 quail!! (87 billion birds).
